The ReVISION House Orlando ’11 is a deep energy retrofit that Green Builder Media engaged in with partners Southern Traditions Development, Ray Rocha, and Designs by Pat Gaylor in the charming neighborhood of College Park in Orlando, FL. The home, which has been built in the typical Florida block-style, incorporates advanced materials and design techniques to significantly enhance energy performance and resource efficiency. The home reflects the traditional flavor of its neighborhood, enhancing the aesthetic and financial value of its neighboring homes. The ReVISION House Orlando ’11 is retrofitted to optimize home performance as well as water use, indoor environment quality, sustainable materials, and disaster resistance. The project incorporates education and training for building professionals and consumers about green building products and techniques, as well as broader aspects of sustainable living.
