Boise Cascade's Floor Joist System

A floor joist system is an architectural and engineered product that runs horizontally from wall to wall supporting the flooring. The floor joist system for VISION House Los Angeles is going to be by Boise Cascade. Boise Cascade is certified through the Forest Stewardship Council, Sustainable Forestry Initiative, Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification, and through the National Association of Home Builders. Boise Cascade’s floor joist systems use half the wood fiber of dimensional lumber; therefore, building "green" into the product.

For more details on Boise Cascade's floor joist system read the online version of Green Builder magazine's October 2011 issue.
