Ingenera—the Air-Cleaning Cement

By Christina Birchfield | 11/27/2013

Ingenera cement eats pollution.

No sooner had we met an Ingenera representative at a sustainability meeting, when we saw a CSI episode in which construction dust featuring air-cleaning cement was part of the investigation. Though not mentioned by name, we guess the CSIs were talking about Ingenera. Ingenera USA is a subsidiary of Ingenera Group, Brescia, Italy.

Ingenera TX Active is a photocatalytic cement and/or coating material that when exposed to UV rays emits oxygenated molecules that keeps the concrete clean and cleans the air around the concrete by as much as 75 percent. It can be used for precast concrete, pavement or stucco.
