Sustainia, a Danish organization focused on creating solutions for a sustainable future, has released their first City Guide, the Guide to Copenhagen 2025. The Guide, written in conjunction with city officials, outlines current and future development plans for Copenhagen, with information about buildings, businesses, harbors, parks, and technologies that the city will employ to become more sustainable.
Inspired by the guide book format, sections in the book include a chapter on Architecture, taking the reader on a tour to interesting sights of sustainable architecture. Another chapter, entitled Getting Around, takes the reader on a trip through the transportation system of the carbon neutral city, exploring how synergies created between biking, public transportation, electric vehicles and walking make this city and inspiration for others to follow.
Sustainia’s Guide to Copenhagen and the city guides to follow show what real cities can gain by adopting sustainable principles.
