Inspired by the success of their Solar Decathlon project in 2009, the University of Minnesota School of Design, students are collaborating with local residents to design two Net-Zero prototype homes that will be built in 2013.
The homes will become part of the Eco-Village initiative in Minneapolis’ Hawthorne neighborhood. The homes will be built by a couple of non-profit groups: Habitat for Humanity of the Twin Cities and Project for Pride in Living.
