Las Vegas (January 22, 2013) – Panasonic Eco Products Division introduces a “greener” option for builders and remodelers at the 2013 International Builders’ Show (IBS), with the expansion of its popular line of WhisperGreen® ventilation fans to include LED technology. Available starting March 2013, the WhisperGreen® LED is an ENERGY STAR® rated fan/light that provides spot and/or whole house ventilation for cleaner indoor air quality, with added LED illumination.
Panasonic has combined two life-long technologies to develop the most robust, energy efficient fan/light solution. Utilizing only 7.5 Watts, the 80 CFM WhisperGreen LED FV-08VKSE3 and FV-08VKME3 are more energy efficient than ENERY STAR standards, and the 12-watt LED light engine with a one-watt LED night light provides warm, energy efficient illumination. LED bulbs in general use about 75% less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs and last at least 35 times longer.

Powered by SmartFlow® Optimum CFM Technology, the WhisperGreen LED can detect and compensate for additional static pressure by increasing the airflow to achieve the specified CFM output; what that means is no matter how the fan is installed, it will operate as it should, to ensure it exhausts biological pollutants and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) to create a cleaner indoor environment.
The WhisperGreen LED FV-08VKME3 also features Panasonic's SmartAction® Motion Sensor, which activates when it senses a person and automatically returns to the pre-set lower speed when the occupant leaves the room. This unique feature makes Whisper Green LED the lowest installed cost solution for meeting ASHRAE 62.2 whole house continuous and spot ventilation, all in one fan. It is also ideal for people with disabilities and assisted living environments such as nursing homes and retirement communities.
The new models also include a dual adaptor for 4” or 6” ducts, making them a great option for residential or light commercial renovation projects as well as new construction.
All WhisperGreen models are ENERGY STAR® rated, HVI certified and ideal for complying with ASHRAE Standard 62.2, the ventilation platform adopted by LEED for Homes, ENERGY STAR Indoor Air Quality Program, CalGreen and California Title 24.
