How Green Cities will Save the Planet
Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 11:00 AM Pacific/2:00 PM Eastern
Clean cities are the key to a sustainable future. The quickest adoption rates of renewables, intelligent infrastructure, green building requirements, and other progressive policies are being driven by mayors that have the political will to make hard decisions and can garner support from motivated local constituencies. Green cities effectively utilize local resources in creative ways, incentivize their residents to support sustainable programs, and have consistent policy across multiple administrations.
Alison Taylor, VP Sustainability-Americas for Siemens Corporation, spends most of her time thinking about sustainable solutions that can be applied in cities around the world. Join Green Builder Media President, Ron Jones, as he talks with Taylor about innovative solutions that are currently being deployed by leading green cities, and how these solutions can assist in the development of short-term response and long-term policy at the state, national, and international levels.
