Trex Transcend Decking

3/25/2010

New decking and railing brings environmentally sound choices to the yard.

Let’s start with the environmental story on this one: Trex Transcend decking contains 95% recycled content, and its railing uses entirely reclaimed wood.  The product looks good, too, especially the low-sheen of the new decking and railing system.

The finish resists stains, scratches, and mold with a distinctive and natural-looking, high-definition wood grain pattern in rich, deep colors. According to the maker, Transcend won’t rot, warp, crack or splinter. The product requires no sanding, staining, or painting, and its protective shell defends against fading while being extremely low maintenance. In fact, spills wash off easily with just soap and water. The entire collection is backed by a 25-year Limited Fade and Stain Warranty.

Each Trex Transcend deck board is available in two profile options–square and grooved.

The collection also includes a modular railing system that offers mix-and-match capabilities to suit the style of any home and homeowner.

Available in a wide variety of colors and styles, the railing components are offered in each of the four Trex Transcend decking colors, as well as Charcoal Black and Classic White.

Architectural curved or round aluminum balusters are available in Charcoal Black, and traditional painted-look spindles come in Classic White. Glass panel kits may be added to emphasize the beautiful view of an outdoor living space.

The company offers a 25-year warranty for all products. www.trex.com
