Including a second sprinkler system in our top product listing made sense, given our endorsement of sprinkler technology. We were looking for a low-tech, easy-to-install solution that could help trades that aren’t already versed in sprinkler codes. BlazeMaster fire sprinklers fit the bill. They’re plumbed with familiar CPVC piping and connectors. That also brings the cost of installation down significantly, which makes it more likely that the system can be put in at the same time a home is being retrofit with energy-saving features. While CPVC is not one of our favorite building materials from an environmental perspective, it’s tough to argue with the cost in these bad economic times. In an ideal world, by the time this piping reaches the end of its service life, 100% of CPVC will be recycled into useful goods.
