An unusual countertop made from 100% FSC certified post consumer paper fiber and a mix of cashew resin and water-based VOC-free resins, this material from Washington-based KlipTech has a 65% fiber content, and can withstand up to 360 degree temperatures.

We are excited to see all of the inventive ways Cosentino is using materials that might otherwise end up in landfills to make unique solid surfacing material. Their new Eco line uses a partially corn based resin to bond materials in a clear, durable resin, resulting in countertop that is 75% recycled content. So far, they’ve created products from glass, stone scraps (Riverbed is shown), porcelain, crystallized ash and broken mirror glass.
