Lennar has sold seven energy-efficient homes in Terraza, since the new neighborhood north of San Diego opened last month.
The two-story homes range from 2,182 to 2,721 square feet and feature an extensive package of energy-saving features, including a
SunPower solar system. Homes in the first phase are priced from the mid $500,000s.
Terraza at
San Elijo Hills is Lennar’s latest all-solar neighborhood, offering three luxurious floor plans and a diverse range of architecture that reflects Spanish Colonial, French Country, Craftsman and Prairie styles.
“Terraza’s energy-efficient design is a perfect complement to San Elijo Hills,” says Halé Richardson, director of marketing and communications for San Elijo Hills Development Co. “The community’s overall design includes a walkable town center, 18 miles of hiking/biking trails, horse trails, and 1,100 acres of open space—all contributing to our respect for the planet,” she adds.
Terraza homes include an extensive PowerSmart package as a standard feature. Designed to promote sustainability, energy savings, resource conservation and comfort, the PowerSmart package includes a tankless water heater, enhanced insulation, double-paned windows with new generation low-e glass, water-conserving toilets, faucets and shower heads, energy-efficient lighting, insulated air ducts, and other construction innovations.
“Terraza homes are exceeding the State of California’s Title 24 requirements by 15%,” adds Marianne Brown, vice president of sales and marketing for Lennar, noting that Lennar cannot provide actual guarantees on actual savings.
Among the high quality appointments are stainless steel GE Profile appliances, Category 5 high-speed wiring, and surround sound speakers.
