When BaySystems (a sub-brand of Bayer MaterialScience) refocused its insulation business in 2007, they integrated a spray-in open-cell polyurethane foam system with HVAC design and engineering. Through their Energywise program, trained contractors design and install a home’s HVAC system, based on use of the company’s Bayseal foam insulation. They then guarantee that consumers will save 50% on annual heating and cooling costs versus conventional construction. The guarantee extends through the first two years after installation.
