Delta’s Linden Kitchen Faucet

3/18/2010

Delta’s Linden kitchen faucet offers water efficiency with high performance.

Let’s start with looks: What grabbed me about the Delta Linden was the Venetian Bronze finish, the simple line, and the “mid-rise” arc height of the unit—a nice change from the high arc faucets. This pull-out faucet has a “Multi-Flow” wand, which means you can toggle between spray and stream functionality.

For ordinary tasks, the standard flow rate is a water-efficient 1.5 gallons per minute (gpm) for both modes, a savings of up to 32% over the industry standard 2.2 gpm in the kitchen. But say you want to fill a pot or a vase; you push a button on the underside of the wand and the water flow increases to full flow—and then back again.

The faucet offers Diamond Seal Technology, which essentially reduces the number of leak points and makes installation easier, says the company. The concept behind the technology is that a diamond embedded disc constantly polishes a ceramic disc in the unit, which prevents the buildup of calcium and mineral deposits.

According to the manufacturer, all the parts needed for installation are in the box. The one-piece InnoFlex integrated supply lines can be connected directly to hot and cold shut-off valves. No intermediate riser connections are needed. In addition to the bronze color, the faucet also comes in chrome and stainless. www.deltafaucet.com
