New Standard

Developed by a consensus committee seated by the National Association of Home Builders and the International Codes Council (Chaired by our Co-Founder and Editorial Director, Ron Jones), the standard will be the template used for national policies, regulations, codes, and green building programs that require the improved performance, durability, safety, and indoor environment quality of the housing stock in the U.S.
The Standard is the first of a deluge of new guiding principles that will change the way that we deal with new and existing houses.

We're delighted by the approval of this standard, as it represents tangible progress in the housing industry as we move towards greater sustainability. For more information, feel free to email us at ask@greenbuildermag.com. Thanks for your continued interest in green building and sustainable development. The industry will only continue to achieve such substantial progress if we're all pulling in the same direction!
