Ron Jones is Founder and Editorial Director of Green Builder® Media. Considered to be one of the fathers of the green building movement, Ron has been instrumental in setting guidelines and standards with the two largest organizations in the building industry, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the US Green Building Council (USGBC).

Sara is the Co-Founder and CEO of Green Builder Media. An experienced entrepreneur, investor, and sustainability consultant, Sara specializes in developing companies that are simultaneously sustainable and profitable. Sara is a former venture capitalist and has participated in a portion of the life cycle (from funding to exit) of over 20 companies. Sara graduated Cum Laude from Dartmouth College and holds an MBA in entrepreneurship and finance from the University of Colorado.

As a veteran reporter, Matt Power has covered virtually every aspect of design and construction. His award-winning articles often tackle tough environmental challenges in a way that makes them relevant to both professionals and end users. An expert on both building science and green building, he has a long history of asking hard questions--and adding depth and context as he unfolds complex issues.

With over 20 years of leadership experience in the building industry, Butch is a seasoned, highly respected business professional with a distinguished track record and a deep passion for sustainability. He was formerly the National Director of Trade Relations at Whirlpool Corporation, which he joined in 1986. At Whirlpool, Gaudette headed the Contract Sales & Marketing Green Building Strategy team, and he received the Whirlpool Corporation “Miller Award” for outstanding contributions to the industry. In additon, he was a member of the Consensus Committee seated by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the International Code Council (ICC) that developed the ICC 700 National Green Building Standard(TM).

Patricia Gaylor has practiced as an interior designer in the Northeast for more than two decades. Here, an abundance of older homes in need of complete renovations requiring the removal of everything, from dated appliances to cabinetry, prompted Pat to ponder the question: “What happens to all this stuff after it’s ripped out?” Pat’s passion for green design continues to be fueled by this question.

Tom Miller is not a building scientist, green guru or even a halfway decent DIYer. However, he is passionate about making a difference, ecologically speaking.
The purpose of Tom’s blog is to share experiences and observations from a homeowner’s perspective in the hopes that it will help building professionals spot unmet needs and dramatically increase the velocity of green building adoption across the country.

Stace has been a clear and pervasive voice working to transform the built environment towards a more sustainable future since he started working in his Father’s architecture firm in 1988. After living and working in the United States and Asia, he relocated to the Southwest and founded Environmental Dynamics, Inc. (ēdi) in 1998.
In ēdi, Stace has helped to create a firm that provides the highest quality architecture and professional service by integrating client objectives andprogressive environmental ideals. Sustainable design has been the foundation of ēdi’s work from its inception. A recognized leader in ecologically appropriate architecture, ēdi works collaboratively in pursuit of design that is not just sustainable, but regenerative.
Continuously since 2000 he has held leadership positions in the US Green Building Council from starting the NM Chapter, to West Region Council Chair and Chapter Steering Committee member for the last four years.
In 2009 Stace help found Green Insight LLC a LEED™ for Homes provider and more. The providership is very active in green affordable housing projects in Florida, Arkansas and New Mexico. These LEED™ for Homes affordable housing projects range from single family container homes, panelized housing, single family attached and detached, and multifamily projects.
In 2010 Stace help found Elevate a 501.c3 that focuses on green education and Evolving Strategies for the Reconciliation of Community and the Environment
Stace is a dedicated ambassador for the green building movement and advocate for future generations who depend on sustainable development today.

Michael is currently the President of GreenHaus Builders and Brothers Strong, Inc. Brothers Strong is a nationally recognized residential remodeling firm and GreenHaus Builders specializes in the construction of LEED Homes: from high end custom to affordable multi-family. GreenHaus Builders built Houston’s first LEED home (Gold) and will be breaking ground and another LEED/ANSI home in Q1 2010. Michael has served on the H.U.D. Partnership for Advancing Technology in Housing committee since 2001 and is a frequent speaker around the country on green building and remodeling issues. Named NAHB's Green Remodeling Advocate of the Year in 2008, he has an MBA from the Monterey Institute of International Studies in Monterey, CA; an MA from Southwest Texas State University; and a BA from the University of Texas in Austin.
You will find Michael co-hosing "Home Improvement Hotline” Radio Show on KPRC 950 AM (since 2005), as well as co-instructing "Green Houses: Building or Remodeling Your Dream Green Home" at Rice University School of Continuing Studies (since 2008).

Ed has been instrumental in responsive housing design since 1985, having been a partner with two national architectural firms in the past, he opened "ed binkley design, llc" in July of 2009. He has a strong focus on an affordable, green, systems approach to housing, which coincides with his development of “the shelter series”, a collection of small rapidly built homes that incorporate sustainable principles. Ed’s experience also includes work with national and international green housing programs and the design of several demonstration homes that highlight sustainable design principals. He is a frequent speaker at symposiums, contributing editor to national publications and has been featured on a variety of HGTV and radio programs presenting his green building philosophies. Ed has a strong belief that green design starts with a responsible program and client…and the end result is only as successful as that collaboration is strong.

Tony Weremeichik, CPBD, AIBD, CGP is the Principal of the Architectural Design Studio at Canin Associates - an urban planning, landscape architecture and architectural design firm in Orlando, Florida. His wide-ranging expertise in housing design includes innovating and advancing design trends in new home, custom home and remodeling design. Tony has over 20 years of experience designing residential, mixed-use and community buildings in master planned communities and resorts throughout the United States, Europe and the Caribbean.
Tony is very active with his local Home Builders Association. He is the Home Design columnist for the Orlando Sentinel, frequently contributes articles to national publications and was featured as a residential design expert in several episodes of a local home design television show.
